We started in 2009 with one climber, one chipper and a round through the eastern suburbs. The decision that shaped everything since was refusing to top trees: if a tree can't be reduced properly, we say so and quote the removal instead.
That loses us work every month. It also means the arborist who assessed your tree is the one standing in it, and the cuts still look right in five years.

How much does tree pruning cost?
Most residential prunes land between $450 and $2,500. Height, species, access and where the limbs can be dropped move the number most.
Do I need a council permit?
Often yes for significant or protected trees, and rules differ by council. We check before quoting and prepare the application if one is needed.
When is the right time to prune?
Species dependent. Most deciduous trees are pruned in late winter; eucalypts and hazardous limbs are done whenever the risk warrants it.
Will you top my tree?
No. Topping causes decay and weak regrowth. We reduce the crown to correct cut points, or recommend removal if reduction won't solve it.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes — $20m public liability, workers compensation, and Cert III arborists on every crew. Certificates supplied on request.
What happens to the branches?
Chipped on site and taken with us the same day. Mulch can be left for you at no charge if you want it.
How fast can you come out for storm damage?
Same-day for limbs on a house, car or powerline. Non-urgent work is usually booked within two weeks.
Can you prune a neighbour's tree overhanging my property?
Generally up to the boundary line, with conditions. We'll explain what's allowed in your situation and document it before starting.
